Sunil’s Residence

Where Nature Shapes Form. 

Perched in JP Nagar, Bangalore, with expansive views of lush greenery and serenaded by peacocks, Sunil’s Residence celebrates a life intertwined with nature. Awarded when civil work was already 70% complete, the project required sensitive interventions to align the home with the client’s lifestyle — simple, minimal, and deeply connected to the environment. 

The design language draws inspiration from the clients’ love of treks and the organic forms of nature: no straight lines dominate the home. Floors, furniture, and select architectural elements follow soft, flowing curves, creating spaces that feel alive and tactile. 

The G+4 elevation is divided into two halves. The first features curved vertical panels (3’ each) rendered in lime plaster with a terracotta-inspired texture, while the second half blends terracotta jaali, bay windows, and balconies to break monotony. Every floor incorporates spaces for greenery, and the railing system continues the jaali motif, creating an earthy continuity. The façade’s soft edges blur sharp lines, establishing a gentle presence in the neighborhood. 

Interiors are rooted in earthy colors and natural materials, reflecting a minimal contemporary lifestyle. The rear opens up to embrace the sweeping landscape, allowing the home to feel expansive yet intimate. Curved furniture and flowing forms inside continue the dialogue with nature, emphasizing a tactile, lived-in warmth. 

Sunil’s Residence is a conscious, minimal home where architecture listens to nature, softens urban edges, and shapes a lifestyle of calm simplicity.
